Community Music School of Buffalo is Western New York's premiere destination for music instruction for children of all ages. Our Music, My Grown Up and Me classes are focused on children birth to age 4, and Music and Me On My Own focuses on children 4-6. We are the only music school accredited by the NY State Board of Regents, and our early childhood music classes are designed around developing pre-language and pre-reading skills. We have satellites in Lockport, Clarence, Snyder and East Aurora in addition to our main location in the Elmwood Village.

CAMP CREATE! with Community Music School

In this week long camp, children ages 5-10 will explore music, art & reading through activities designed by Community Music School, Locust Street Art and Story Time Bookshop. Campers will put on a performance for family and friends on the last day! CAMP CREATE! runs July 11-15 from 9:30am-12:00pm. Children learn about piano through basic note reading, movement, games, singing & ear training. Students must have a piano or keyboard at home. PE1-new students, PE2-returning students. | 45-minute class

Joy of Singing Together: Ages 6-9

Youngsters learn singing techniques by learning & performing in a group. Orff educational instruments will be explored, including glockenspiels, triangles & woodblocks. The Orff approach emphasizes children's natural instinct to play through imitation, experimentation & personal expression, creating life-long musicians & creative problem solvers.
